VISITOR INFORMATION
ARRIVAL BY CAR
The IZBI is located close to the city centre. Here you can use one of the parking decks (f.e. Karstadt, Petersbogen, Burgplatz).
Infrequently, a few fee-paying parking spots are available in Haertelstrasse and near by , e.g. Windmuehlenstrasse.
Leipzig has a Low Emission Zone. You need a German green environmental sticker on your windscreen to drive in Leipzig.
ARRIVAL BY PLANE
You can take either a train to Leipzig main station or use the S-Bahn with stop at “Wilhelm-Leuschner Platz” and follow our
“Arrival by Train”-instruction above.
ARRIVAL BY TRAIN
From Leipzig main station you can use either tram or a suburban train.
The tram stops are in front of the main station. You can take number 16 (Loessnig) to “Haertelstrasse” (3 stations), or numbers 10 (Loessnig)
and 11 (Markkleeberg-Ost) (3 stations) to “Muenzgasse”.
For using the suburban train (S-Bahn) from main station go downstairs to the Leipzig City Tunnel, where the rail tracks S1 – S5 are located.
Take a suburban train (mainly from track 1) to “Wilhelm-Leuschner Platz” (two stations).
Exit the train station via “Windmuehlenstrasse” and follow Windmuehlenstrasse to Peterssteinweg, then turn left to Haertelstrasse.
The IZBI is situated on the 3rd floor of the Leipzig University building on the left (entrace across the courtyard).
